BioInformatics LLC Publishes Study of Preferred Brands in Genomic Analysis; Findings Discussed in Webinars

ARLINGTON, VA -- October 26, 2007 -- BioInformatics, LLC, a leading market research and consulting firm to the life sciences industry, today released its latest research report: "Brand Positioning: Genomic Analysis Instrumentation." The report one in a series of six focused on brand positioning in various life science product categories.

"We found the genomic analysis market to be highly competitive, with companies competing on the bases of their ability to customize products and deliver specific performance features," said Dr. Tamara Zemlo, Director of Syndicated Research at BioInformatics. "As such, brand positioning is determined by more than traditional product features."

Key findings of the reports will be shared in a complimentary webinar. The webinar will be presented: Tuesday, October 30 at 11:00 am EDT; Wednesday, November 7 at 1:00 pm EST; and Wednesday, November 28 at 11:00 am EST. To register to attend one of the sessions, please email webinars@gene2drug.com.

Specific companies profiled in detail in this report include: Affymetrix (NASDAQ:AFFX); Agilent Technologies (NYSE:A); Applied Biosystems (NYSE:ABI); Beckman Coulter (NYSE:BEC); Bio-Rad Laboratories (AMEX:BIO); GE Healthcare (a division of General Electric, NYSE:GE); Illumina (NASDAQ:ILMN); Molecular Devices (a division of MDS, Inc., NYSE:MDZ); and Stratagene (a division of Agilent Technologies, NYSE:A).
