Brief Description Executive Summary

The Life Science Industry Awards are unique because they are based on the actual experiences of thousands of scientific customers in labs around the world who recognize excellence in their suppliers. For the 2007 awards, over 3,000 scientists from around the world cast their votes for the companies that have made the greatest contributions to life science technology in the past year.

The awards recognize those suppliers voted "best-in-class" in each of the 14 product categories and six communications and support categories. Although more than 500 individual companies were nominated, only 28 achieved the status of Finalist and from this group 11 were named Winners. Enabling Discovery: The 2007 Life Science Industry Awards presents the Segmentation Spotlight and Supplier Scorecard for the three finalist companies in each award category, along with the full list of nominated companies in each category.

The Segmentation Spotlight profiles whether and how respondents selecting each finalist differed from the market as a whole and are analyzed in terms of their market, region, lab budget, age and gender. The Supplier Scorecard provides a letter grade based on four metrics (satisfaction, relevance, likelihood to repurchase, likelihood to recommend) for each finalist.
