Karen L. Blaine (Chief Executive Officer) [email]
Karen has more than 15 years of sales and marketing experience in the life sciences and has held positions of responsibility with industry leaders such as Fisher Scientific, Life Technologies, and Oncor. With a strong scientific background and extensive sales experience, Karen adeptly grasps the technical needs of clients, while bringing a unique "customer" perspective to the table. She serves as the primary point-of-contact for BioInformatics and excels in helping clients articulate their requirements and transform these into actionable objectives. As the co-founder of BioInformatics and Chief Executive Officer of the company, Karen has been directly involved in every aspect of the business, and continues to support clients, sub-contractors and employees as the company enjoys continued growth and expansion. Karen received her bachelor's degree in Biomanagement from Marietta College.

Justin Dudash (Vice President of Research & Analysis Services) [email]
Justin has designed and fielded nearly 200 market surveys since joining BioInformatics in 2002.  He is an experienced market research professional who oversees our fast-paced production process, develops new information products and builds lasting client relationships.  Justin interacts with clients to advise on the appropriate survey methodology, designs qualitative and quantitative studies, and manages our team of exceptionally talented analysts.  He continues to play a "hands-on" role in formulating survey questionnaires, analyzing data, writing reports and preparing client presentations.  Justin is well versed in a variety of quantitative techniques and methodologies, including conjoint analysis, discrete choice, multivariate, regression, ROI, perceptual mapping, forecasting, and modeling.  He received his bachelor's degree in Information Management & Analysis with a concentration in Management Information Systems from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania.

William T. Kelly (President) [email]
Bill has more than 20 years experience in supporting senior decision makers with timely and accurate information products. He has participated in the design and conduct of hundreds of business research projects and specializes in the collection of competitor intelligence, and many of his projects have been in direct support of Fortune 500 clients. He is skilled in all aspects of customer survey design, interactive interviewing techniques and online database searching. As a Senior Consultant with the world-renowned firm, Booz-Allen & Hamilton, Bill was responsible for assisting corporate and government clients implement multi-million dollar strategic planning and information systems. Later, as a Consultant to Markowitz & McNaughton, he helped dozens of major corporations define their requirements for competitive intelligence and devised programs that delivered critical market assessments to high-level executives. Bill is a former intelligence officer with the U.S. Army, where he was awarded the Bronze Star for his performance as Chief of the XVIIIth Airborne Corps Intelligence Production Section during the Persian Gulf War. Bill is the co-founder and President of BioInformatics and holds a B.A. from the College of William & Mary.

Tamara Zemlo, Ph.D. M.P.H (Vice President of Advisory Services) [email]
As Director of Syndicated Research and Analysis, Tamara serves as the company's senior technical and scientific analyst. She combines experience in high-level policy and technology assessments with "hands-on" experience in a variety of molecular and cell biology techniques. Prior to joining BioInformatics, Tamara was Associate Director of Science Policy, Office of Public Affairs, The Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology (FASEB). While at FASEB she was responsible for researching, developing and drafting policy statements and background papers on critical scientific issues, with supporting statistical information. Her portfolio included Animals in Research, Cloning and Stem Cells, Federal Research Funding, Human Subjects in Research, Indirect Costs and Intellectual Property issues. Tamara also directed the development of and produced the Breakthroughs in Bioscience series, which are educational articles for the general public on the benefits of biomedical research. As a Policy Intern with the National Academy of Sciences she projected the future United States position in the field of immunology and recommended actions to help achieve and maintain a leadership position. Her work is collected in the resulting report from the National Academies of Science Press, Experiments in International Benchmarking of US Research Fields. Tamara has also been a Cancer Prevention Fellow at the National Cancer Institute (NCI) where she studied the role of the human papillomavirus in the progression of low-grade to high-grade cervical lesions and assessed both viral and host risk factors for cervical cancer progression in a prospective epidemiological study. While at NCI, she assisted in managing and analyzing data from the ASCUS/LSIL Triage Study (ALTS), a clinical trial designed to determine the best way to manage clinically the mild abnormalities that often show up on Pap tests. Among her many awards and honors, Tamara was the 1999 recipient of the National Institutes of Health Fellows Award for Research Excellence. Tamara received her Ph.D. in Oncology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, her M.P.H. in Public Management/Community Health from Harvard University and her B.A. Biology and Chemistry from Augustana College.
